I made it to Leicester but I look like the living dead!

Well, I finally made it to Leicester. This is what I looked like when I arrived. No joke. After 24 hours of traveling, I felt nasty! It was an adventure getting here. I took two flights, an hour underground ride, and then an hour train ride to get here. Right away when I landed I figured out that my international SIM card wasn't working. When I called the customer service line they told me that it was because my phone is locked into AT&T. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on their site that the card required an unlocked phone!! So Dad had to call AT&T and convince them to unlock my phone for three weeks. Thanks, Dad.
Traveling on the subway with two roller bags wasn't fun. It wasn't fun on the train either. My advice is pack light if you are taking public transit to your hotel. I had a major embarrassing moment at St. Pancras Train Station, too. I was trying to get both of my roller bags situated on the escalator that led up to my train platform. Halfway up my duffle bag fell off the roller bag it was balanced on and tumbled all the way down the escalator. Luckily no one was behind me on the escalator- except for a British man just getting on. He gave me a look like I was dirt beneath his shoe and got off the escalator! On top of that I just barely boarded my train on time and had no idea where to put my luggage. So I had to sit with all of it piled on the seat next to me. Luckily my train car was pretty empty so no one minded. So yeah. That's why I looked like that when I made it to Leicester.

This was the view from my hotel window.

My first double decker bus.

I forget what this square was called, but it was right by the Kings Cross mall. Right after taking this picture I got spectacularly lost. I probably walked five or six miles and went in several large circles. It was getting dark and suddenly everyone disappeared. I was really freaked out! Not fun. I finally found my way back and I have never been so happy to see a hotel room in my life. I had a small breakdown after that though... I found out that my travel adaptor was for the EU and not GB, and all of my electronics were dying. The thought of being 5,000 miles away from home with no way to communicate with anyone was pretty terrifying. I finally found a converter that made my adaptor work, but that was the next day. What a way to start my trip!
